To connect the iPad to a computer, plug one end of the USB cable into the iPad and the other end into the computer. iTunes starts automatically when the iPad is connected to the computer via the USB cable.
Under the Devices tab on the computer, click on the name of the iPad, then click the Restore button located under Update. To avoid losing your data after the restoration process, select Back up in the dialog box.
When iTunes asks whether you want to restore the iPad to its factory settings, click Restore and Update. After the restoration process, the iPad reboots and then starts as a new device. The Hello screen appears, including the Slide to set up option at the bottom of the screen. Launch the previous back up point to set the iPad, or set it as a new device.
