Users can reset a password online at HenryFord.com by clicking the “Forgot Password?” link. To access this, the user simply moves the cursor over the “Log in to MyChart Account” section of the site’s home page. The link appears under the field where users normally enter their passwords.
For verification purposes, and in order to protect personal health information as required by HIPPA, users must provide a few pieces of information associated with the account. This includes the MyChart username, the medical record number, and the user's date of birth. Enter this information in the appropriate fields, then click the “Next” button to continue.
The user can now create a new password by entering the new password in the fields provided; this is needed twice for confirmation. The user must make sure to type the new password exactly the same way both times to avoid an error message indicating that they do not match.
It is important to have the correct username, medical record number, and date of birth to reset a password online. If the user does not have all of these, he should contact the Henry Ford MyChart help desk at 800-HENRYFORD (800-436-7936), or email the help desk at HFMyChart@hfhs.org. A representative will assist with the steps necessary to access the account.
