To replace a Nabi tablet screen, first remove the tablet's red rubber case. Unscrew the screws at the back of the tablet and remove the tablet back casing. Unscrew the motherboard to gain access to the screen. Unscrew the screen and remove it from the from the front panel. Replace it with a new one to complete the task.
After removing the red rubber case, flip the tablet upside down and unscrew the four screws with a screwdriver to remove the back casing of the tablet. Use a small pry bar to apply slight force to remove the back casing. Unscrew the five screws on the motherboard and de-solder the cable connections on it.
Use tweezers to remove the yellow tape on the ribbon cable connections. Lift up the locking tabs in the opposite direction of the ribbon cable and use tweezers to remove the ribbon cable. Remove the motherboard from the tablet's case to gain access to the screen.
Unscrew the six screws on the screen with a screwdriver to detach it from the front panel. Replace the old screen with a new one and reattach it to the front panel. Solder the cable connections and screw the motherboard and back casing into their original places. Cover the tablet with the rubber case.
