Completing the activation process in Windows XP removes the activation notification. Windows gives the user 30 days to activate the operating system and verify that the Windows installed in a computer is genuine.
To remove a Windows XP activation notification, connect to the Internet, and click the notification bubble on the monitor. Follow the activation wizard to complete the process. If activation using the telephone is possible, open Windows Activation on Properties under Computer and select Activate Windows Now. Choose telephone activation under the activation options, and call the provided toll-free numbers. Follow the automated systems guidelines to complete the activation process.
