To remove the Snap.do toolbar from Google Chrome, uninstall it using the Programs and Features list that can be accessed via the Control Panel. Once it is uninstalled, remove it from the list of search engines in Google Chrome, and reset the On Startup function.
- Uninstall the Snap.do toolbar
Click on the Start button and select the Control Panel option. Click on Programs and select the Programs and Features option. If the elements in the Control Panel window are listed as icons, just click on Programs and Features immediately. Click on Snap.do in the list, and click on the Uninstall button. Follow the wizard’s instructions to complete the uninstall process.
- Remove Snap.do from the search engine list
Start Google Chrome, click on the Menu button represented by three horizontal bars, and select the Settings option from the drop-down menu. Navigate to the Search section, and click on the Manage Search Engines button. Hover over the Snap.do search engine in the list, and click on the X button that appears on the right side. Hover over the search engine you want to use, and click on the Make Default button.
- Reset the On Startup function
In the Settings window, navigate to the On Startup section and click on the Open the New Tab Page option. If you want to use a specific website, click on the Set Pages link, type in the address, and click OK.
