To remove the MapsGalaxy toolbar from your computer, navigate to the Control Panel, open the Programs and Features window, and uninstall the toolbar. Use AdwCleaner to scan and remove files related to the MapsGalaxy toolbar. Finally, reset the settings of your Web browser to default values.
To open the Programs and Features window, click on the Start button, and select the Control Panel option from the menu. Click on the Programs link, and select the Programs and Features option. Locate the MapsGalaxy toolbar in the list of installed programs, highlight it, and click on the Uninstall button. Follow the steps until you remove the application, and restart your computer.
Download the free version of AdwCleaner from the Download section of BleepingComputer.com, and install it. After starting the program, select the Scan option, click on the boxes next to the detected files, and click on the Clean button. Once the computer restarts, a log should appear informing you of files that AdwCleaner successfully removed. To reset the Web browser settings to default values, start Internet Explorer, click on the cogwheel icon, and click on Internet Options. Navigate to the Advanced tab, click on the Reset button, check the box next to the Delete Personal Settings option, and click on the Reset button again.
