  1. Download and install CCleaner

    Use your Web browser to navigate to the CCleaner homepage, and left-click on any of the download links for the free version. Once you are redirected, select the Download option. After the download is finished, double-click on the ccsetup.exe file, follow the installation wizard instructions, and click on Finish once it’s complete.

  2. Use CCleaner to analyze the threats

    Start the CCleaner application, and left-click on the Cleaner button on the left side of the navigation menu. Make sure all the boxes in the Windows and Applications tabs are checked, and left-click on the Analyze option. Once the process is complete, left-click on the Run Cleaner option.

  3. Remove the threats

    Select the Tool option in the navigation menu on the left side, and left-click on the Startup option. Check every entry under the available tabs for suspicious items that are related to the Conduit malware, such as Conduit Community Toolbar, Search Protect and BrotherSoft Extreme. Select each one, and left-click on Delete or Disable to remove the threats.
