To remove the Babylon toolbar, uninstall it from the Programs and Features list in the Control Panel, and modify the search engine settings in Google Chrome. Once the modifications are complete, delete all extensions related to the Babylon toolbar via the Extension settings window.
- Access the Programs and Features list
Click on the Start button, and select the Control Panel option. Click on the Programs link, and select the Programs and Features option. If the Control Panel elements are listed as icons, click on Programs and Features immediately.
- Uninstall the Babylon toolbar
Click on Babylon in the list of installed programs, and click on Uninstall. Follow the wizard’s instructions to complete the uninstall process. If Babylon Toolbar on IE, Yontoo or BrowserProtect are present in the list, repeat the process to remove them as well.
- Modify the search engine settings in Google Chrome
Start Google Chrome, click on the Menu button represented by three horizontal bars, and select the Settings option. In the On Startup section, click on the Open the New Tab Page option. In the Search section, click on Manage Search Engines. Hover over the Babylon search engine with your mouse pointer, and click on the X that appears on the right. Hover over the search engine you wish to use, and click on the Make Default button.
- Remove the Babylon extension
In the Settings window, click on Extensions, and click on the trash icon next to every entry related to the Babylon toolbar, such as Babylon OCR or babylonToolbar.com. Select Remove to confirm the action.
