According to Digitaltrends.com, ZTE is the third most popular smartphone maker in the United States, and ZTE phones are known for reliability and affordability. The ZTE Zmax is a mid-range phone made for T-Mobile that it is known for its height as well as the price.
ZTE sells multiple phones across several carriers including MetroPCS, Boost Mobile, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The 4g LTE ZTE Anthem is available for $150 as of 2013. It has a 4.3-inch screen, 5-megapixel camera, and a dual-core processor. Boost Mobile sells the ZTE Boost Force for $170 and the ZTE Warp for $115.
As of 2014, T-Mobile sells the ZTE ZMax. The ZMax is an affordable phone with a long battery life and a 5.7-inch screen. It is taller and wider than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, but the ZMax is not known for its beauty or elegance. The ZMax is good at handling multimedia in spite of being a mid-range phone. It is not the fastest phone, however, and PCmag.com describes the speed as a "minor annoyance."
For entry level Android devices, ZTE phones raise the bar in terms of quality and screen size. The phones are made for the budget conscious, and they have excellent battery lives.
