Redeem a Google Play card online from your computer, through the Google Play app and during checkout using any access method. You must have a Google Wallet account set to the country in which the Play Store card was purchased.
Google Play Store cards and promotional codes can be credited toward the purchase of apps, games, television shows or movies, or music through the Google Play Store. The Play Store is accessible online at play.google.com and on Android devices including tablets, mobile phones and set-top boxes. Google Play Store cards are available in values between $5 and $100, as of 2015, and can be redeemed through the Google Play app by tapping the menu icon and selecting Redeem. When prompted, enter the code from the back of the card and confirm the amount is correct. The value of the card is added to a user's Google Play Store balance using this method.
When making a purchase you can use a Google Play Store card as a payment method in addition to debit and credit cards. If only a portion of the total balance needed is available on the Google Play Store card then the amount available is subtracted from the balance. The remaining balance may be paid using another Google Play Store card or payment method.
Play Store cards are available at nationwide retailers such as Best Buy, Target, Wal-Mart, GameStop and 7-Eleven.
