To read an EPUB file, download and install an e-book management program that supports the EPUB format, such as Calibre. Transfer your EPUB file to the program. Use the program's conversion function to convert the file to a more commonly used format, such as PDF or TXT.
- Download and install Calibre
Go to the Calibre home page, and click the download link in the menu bar. Select the appropriate version matching your operating system, and click Download Calibre. Once the download is complete, double click the executable file, and follow the installation instructions to complete the process.
- Add the EPUB file to Calibre
Click on the Start button, and select All Programs. Click on the Calibre E-book Management folder, and then click on Calibre to run the program. Click the Add Books button in the top-left corner, and use the navigation window to locate the EPUB file. Click on the file, and click Open.
- Convert the EPUB file to a commonly used format
Select the EPUB file in the main list, and click the Convert Books option. Open the drop-down menu next to the Output Format section, and select the desired format. Click on the Output button in the navigation menu to modify the font size and aspect ratio to your specifications. Click OK to initiate the conversion process. Locate the file in the Calibre Library folder, and open it via Notepad or any reputable PDF reader.
