ProScan Imaging offers medical professionals text books, MRI courses, DVDs of MRI lectures valid toward continuing medical education, or CME, credit, fellowship opportunities and interactive teaching files on its commercial site, ProScanShopping.com, as of 2015. As a whole, the company is better known for radiological services such as MRIs and CT scans, operating 25 freestanding imaging centers in seven states while providing teleradiology and diagnostic services to physicians around the globe.
Each of the training materials available on ProScanShopping.com includes a URL to take an online exam in order to receive CME credit for completing the course. A grade of at least 70 percent is required to pass the test, with multiple attempts permissible. It takes approximately four weeks to receive CME certification by mail, and a week to receive it via email. Additional exams require the name of the original purchaser, with costs varying based on the specific program and the number of additional tests desired. Each program's CME validity expires three years after its original release date.
ProScan's education courses may be registered for via Internet, fax, mail or telephone. An electronic receipt is sent after payment is received. Cancellations incur a $50 fee, with each course having its own date after which no refund is provided.
ProScan Imaging's radiologists are among the most experienced in the field, with a customer satisfaction rating exceeding 99 percent. This enables the company to provide rapid, correct diagnoses. The company's affiliate, WorldCare Clinical, is on the cutting edge of medical imaging research.
