Full Answer

  1. Open the Mozilla Firefox browser

Open the Mozollla Firefox program, which displays a non-private browser window by default. Anything you do in this default window is not private.

  2. Click the menu button

Click the menu button in the Firefox browser window, which is located in the upper right-hand corner. It looks like three horizontal lines and is located next to a button that looks like a house.

  3. Select the New Private Window option

After you click the menu button, a menu will pop up. Locate and click the New Private Window option, which is in the middle of the top row.

  4. Use the new private browsing window

Use the new window that pops up to do your private browsing. If you need to open a link privately, right click on the link and choose the Open Link in New Private Window option. Private browsing windows have a purple mask at the top of the right-hand side of the page.
