According to Microsoft support, users can view the privacy report by double-clicking the icon. This will open a dialog box and allows the user to view the website's privacy policies. A website's policies can be accessed even when the privacy report icon does not pop-up. It can be viewed by clicking "Privacy Report" from the "View" drop-down selection on the menu.
Computers comes with a default privacy setting, which can be adjusted at any time. To do so, open "Internet Options." From there options to configure the privacy settings can be found, which affect at what level the "Privacy Report" icon will pop-up to restrict a website. Default privacy settings are on the level "Medium." According to Microsoft support, this blocks websites that do not have a condensed computer-readable privacy statement.
