Printing photos with the Canon Pixma printer requires installing the printing application in a smartphone or tablet. The application allows a connection between the wireless printer and the mobile application.
The Pixma wireless printer is an ink-jet printer that prints in black and white and in color, and can output a borderless photo. Connecting the printer to the smartphone or tablet is possible in a variety of ways. Despite the printer being wireless, it has USB connectivity to allow people to print even when they do not have the application. It also has a built-in wireless connection that any Wi-Fi-capable computer can access to print or even scan documents through it.
When using the applications from a smartphone such as AirPrint for Apple or Easy-Photo print on Android, turn on the application. The application detects the printer wirelessly and connects to the printer. After synchronizing the smartphone with the printer, scan and send files for printing to the printer, and wait for the output.
The Canon Pixma wireless printer also has a built-in Ethernet that allows two or more connected computers to share the printing facilities provided they are within reach. Google Cloud print is also compatible with the printer. The Pixma wireless printer has connection with the Pixma cloud link to download photos from Canon Image Gateway and Google Picasa online albums straight to the printer.
