To print a file to PDF, download and install a virtual PDF printer. This PDF printer is necessary if the program that you are using does not give you the menu option to export or save the file you are currently working on to PDF.
- Install a PDF printer
Search online for PDF printers, and download the printer of your choosing. Install the printer after download is finished.
- Verify that the printer is installed
Check to see that your PDF printer is listed under the printers section within the control panel.
- Print document to PDF
From the program you are using, select the option to print. Choose the virtual PDF printer you created, and confirm the print operation. A PDF version of your document is saved to your computer.
