The top 10 most popular videos on YouTube are all music videos, including Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" with more than 1.1 billion views, Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" with 1.07 billion views, Katy Perry's "Roar" with 1.039 billion views and Enrique Iglesias' "Bailando" with 1.015 billion views.
As of August 2015, the most recent top-viewed YouTube video is Mark Ronson featuring Bruno Mars' music video "Uptown Funk," which was uploaded on Nov. 18, 2014 and has garnered over 950 million views. YouTube was founded in 2005 by three former PayPal employees.
