Some of the top apps on PC Magazine's list of the top 100 apps available on the Play Store include the WebMD app, the Sleep Bot app, and the Cookpad Recipes app, as of December 2014. The list is kept as up to date as possible.
Also included on the top 100 listing is the Snapseed application, which allows greater control over editing of Instagram photos. The DeaDBeeF Player app is also listed, which enables file support for many times of music files. The DeaDBeefF app also includes a 10-band equalizer for altering sound quality to individual taste. The SongkIck Concerts app is featured for its ability to scan a user's device and tell the user where favorite bands are playing in the area.
Mint, another app available for free, allows for online tracking of finances. After all information is entered, making budgetary decisions and goals are a snap. The NowSecure application is listed for its ability to see where a user's information is going, who's receiving it and whether it was encrypted. The OverDrive app allows access to a user's local library and its array of available eBooks. Given the nature of technology and the constant progress of app evolution, new apps are constantly added to any "best of" list.
