The Johns Hopkins University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology have some Pharmacy courses anyone can study online for free. Taking these courses does not grant any college credit.
Two types of Pharmacy courses are available online: college courses and continuing education courses. Free college courses are offered either through the school's online coursework, as in the case of MIT OpenCourseWare, or through Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) portals, such as Coursera and edX. MOOC websites offer certificates for specific courses if the student chooses to verify his account and pay the corresponding fee. Continuing education courses that are sponsored by companies grant free certificates, fulfilling professional requirements.
