The NJMCdirect website is only available for taking payments during specific hours. These hours include Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 11:45 p.m. EST, Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. EST, Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. EST, and Sundays from 1:00 p.m. to 11:45 p.m. EST. Only tickets that are payable and that do not require the person to appear in court are payable through the NJMCdirect website. Nonpayable violations require a court appearance prior to payment. There can be no warrants issued for the ticket for payment to be accepted online.

To search for and view the ticket online, drivers must know the court ID number, the ticket number and the license plate number of the car ticketed. It can take up to four days for the ticket to be registered in the system and viewable online.
