Pando Media Booster is a third-party program by Pando Networks that game developers use to enhance peer-to-peer downloads of their games. Its use is controversial as it is considered bloatware at best and malware at worst, according to Should I Remove It.
While the program is meant to increase download speeds by increasing peer-to-peer connections, it commonly slows MMORPG downloads by the user, starts automatically and runs silently in the background. Should I Remove It reported that 51 percent of users recommend uninstalling the program. Pando Media Booster's parent program, Pando, was hijacked in 2014, causing users to be infected with the Sweet Page Internet browser virus.
