An On-The-Go cable can connect two electronic devices that are USB OTG-compatible. The two connecting devices can communicate with each other and carry out certain functions, such as sending data or sharing photos.
An OTG cable enables a smartphone to connect to a peripheral device such as a mouse or a keyboard or a storage device such as a USB stick or an external hard drive. The most common devices that connect using OTG cables are smartphones and PCs. An increasing number of devices are OTG-compatible, making it possible to connect devices directly – such as connecting a camera and a printer without using a PC.
