A WPS file is created by Microsoft Works, and it can be opened in Microsoft Word with a converter when Works is not available. Click the Download link. When the dialog box opens, click Save File. Choose the destination for saving the file.
Once the file is downloaded, double-click the icon for the saved file. Click accept on the license agreement dialog box to allow installation. Click Install to complete the installation.
Open Microsoft Word. For Word versions 2000, 2002 and 2003, click File, then click Open. For Word versions 2007 and 2010, click the Office button, then click Open. When the Open dialog box appears, click the Files of type box, and select All Files. Look for the WPS file, click on it and then click Open.
