Odnoklassniki is a Russian social network service designed for classmates and old friends. It has more than 200 million registered users and approximately 45 million daily unique visitors, as of 2015, and it is the second most populous social media network in Russia after VK.
Owned by the Mail.ru Group, the social media network only accepts users from who are at least 7 years old. Apart from Russian, Odnoklassniki is also available in Ukrainian, Armenian, Kazakh and English languages. Other language versions include Moldavian, Georgian, Tajik, Azerbaijani and Kyrgyz.
To join Odnoklassniki, new members are required to provide their personal details such as name, date of birth, gender and location. They must also establish a username and password. After signing up, new members are allowed to search for friends, start conversations, share content and customize their accounts. Most members of Odnoklassniki are men below the age of 35 who mostly browse from home.
The website’s servers are located in Moscow, Russia and hosted by the Golden Telecom company. The website has previously won the Runet Prizes in 2006 and 2007. In 2012, it was named by Venture Village in the list of the Top 10 Russian Internet Brands Out to Conquer the World.
