Some notable features of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, including the 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 variants, include a dual-core processor with speeds ranging between 1.2 and 1.6 gigahertz, a multi-touch display capable of displaying resolutions of up to 1,280 x 800 pixels and a storage capacity of up to 16 gigabytes, with an option to expand it by additional 64 gigabytes via an external flash memory card. Other features include front- and rear-facing cameras and the Android 4.2 operating system.
Depending on the variant, the display size ranges between 7 and 10 inches, with the 7.0 variant featuring a lower display resolution relative to the other two models. All three variants feature a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, while only the 8.0 and 10.1 models include the 3-megapixel rear camera. The 7.0 model features a 4,000-milliampere hour lithium-ion battery capable of powering the tablet for 7 hours while it’s reproducing video content in 720p resolution. The 8.0 and 10.1 models feature more efficient batteries.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 supports various video and audio content, including WMV, FLV and MKV for video, and MP3, M4A and FLAC for audio, among other formats. For connectivity, it includes one microSD slot, one 3.5-millimeter jack for an audio output device and one 11-pin Micro-USB slot. In addition to the standard Android 4.2 user interface, Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 features the TouchWiz interface layered on top of it.
