Get a new Samsung phone from AT&T by purchasing the phone for full price or using the AT&T Next program to pay for the phone in monthly installments, as of 2015. Both options require a valid AT&T service contract. It is also possible to buy a prepaid AT&T Samsung phone.
The AT&T Next program allows anyone with a current service contract and proper account qualifications to upgrade to a new Samsung phone by only paying the sales tax. The program also features payment options wherein you pay a monthly installment over a set period of time. After making a minimum number of payments on the phone, you have the option to upgrade to a new model without finishing the remaining payments on the initial phone.
Another method for getting a new Samsung phone from AT&T is to purchase one from an authorized retail location or through ATT.com. While this option does not require you to extend your service contract, you do need to pay the full price for the phone. If you do not have a service contract or wish to end your contract while still receiving a new Samsung phone, you can sign up for the AT&T GoPhone program, which allows you to purchase monthly service on select phones without submitting to a credit check.
