Some of the new features of the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update include a more responsive performance, full-screen album art on the lock screen with pause and play controls, and a new-look status bar. Immersive mode and faster multitasking are also among the top improvements in this update.
Google released the Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system in November 2013, replacing its earlier 4.3 Jelly Bean version in an attempt to improve and refine an already robust piece of software. The company seems to have achieved this goal thanks to new productivity options and a better, faster Google Now experience as well as the possibility of wireless printing due to Google Cloud Print. Even though Android 4.4.2 is an aging, somewhat outdated version, manufacturers are still rolling it out to many different smartphone and tablet models.
