Nasza Klaza is a Polish school-based social networking site launched in November, 2006. Translated to English, "Our Class" allows students and alumni to register with their school and year. Although the number of registered users dropped to seven million in 2014, at its peak, Nasza Klaza had over 13.5 million registered users in 2009, making it the fourth largest Internet portal in Poland at the time, used by over one-half of all Polish Internet users monthly.
Launched November 11, 2006, Nasza-Klaza.pl was the product of four information technology students at the University of Wroclaw and the Wroclaw University of Technology: Maciej Popowicz, Pawe? Olchawa, Micha? Bartoszkiewicz, and ?ukasz Adzi?ski. Barely over a year old, the site saw a doubling of registered users monthly in early 2008. Dominating the user statistics of number of visits and length of visits, Nasza Klaza became one of the best known Polish ebrands. Although growth declined over the next few years and the number of registered users dropped to seven million by 2014, the company formed to guide the site, Nasza-Klaza.pl Sp.z.o.o, continues to be a driving market force and example of the power of social networking sites on the Internet landscape of Poland and beyond.
