Three stores and venues that buy back cell phones, as of 2015, are Best Buy, Radio Shack and wireless carrier stores such as AT&T and Verizon stores. These outlets review the condition of the phone to arrive at a value, which they pay out in store credit or a check.
At Best Buy and Radio Shack, a customer can receive a quote online prior to visiting the store, or they can simply show up for an estimate. Both stores offer the option to mail in the phone or to take it to the store for an immediate trade-in. Also, the customer can choose to receive a store gift card or a check for the value of the phone. The wireless carrier stores also offer online quotes, but some do not offer immediate trade-in, and most only offer store credit.
