As of 2015, Verizon Android classes at local Verizon stores are free. At a one-hour class, customers learn how to organize screens, conserve the battery, use voice recognition, access the application market and track data usage.
At the class, Verizon staff members teach customers to organize screens by showing them how to move icons, remove shortcuts, and add widgets and apps. Customers learn how to conserve battery power by customizing the screen's timeout settings and making the ideal selections in the phone's "Battery and Data Manager" setting. They also learn how to use the "Battery and Data Manager" settings to monitor how much data the device uses. Customers learn how to use the microphone for voice commands as well as how to browse and make purchases on Google Play.
