A monochrome laser printer is a type of laser printer that uses only one toner cartridge to produce black-and-white documents and photos. Monochrome laser printers are typically cheaper than their color counterparts and capable of producing printed outputs at a faster rate than inkjet printers.
While the initial cost of a monochrome laser printer is typically more expensive than an inkjet printer, the former still ends up being more economical per printed page because of its high-capacity toner cartridge. The latter, on the other hand, has four costly cartridges with lesser capacity. Monochrome laser printers are also known for their sharp output. They're capable of printing texts with two-point fonts that are still legible.
