Windows 7 Service Pack 1, or SP1, is the first service pack released by Microsoft for Windows 7. It bundles together existing security, performance and stability updates along with additional features and improvements.
Major new features in Windows 7 SP1 include better support when connecting to audio devices through HDMI, printer support in the XPS Viewer application and the ability to restore previous folders in Windows Explorer after a restart.
Windows 7 users can install SP1 automatically through Windows Update as long as automatic updates have been enabled. Microsoft also provides a download package of SP1 directly from its website.
