Microsoft Virtual Earth provides driving directions, traffic reports, street maps and satellite imagery. The service uses aerial photography to give users a more detailed view than satellite images. It is available at no cost to the user, as of 2015.
The service also allows users to explore 3-D buildings in more than 300 cities. Users can view cities at street-level and observe real-time weather. It includes a Locate Me button that shows the user's geographical location based on the Internet address. This is helpful for locating the user's area quickly and easily. People can download the latest version of the program at CNET.com, as of 2015.
