What Is Microsoft OneNote

Microsoft OneNote, formerly known as Microsoft Office OneNote, is a computer program for free-form information collection and multi-user collaboration. It gathers the user’s typewritten and handwritten notes, diagrams, screen clippings and audio commentaries. Microsoft OneNote allows for online sharing of notes with other OneNote users.

With OneNote, users can enter typed text using a keyboard, generate tables and insert multimedia. However, unlike a word processor, OneNote users can write almost anywhere by clicking on a virtual bound document. Users need not save their work, as data is saved automatically as one works. OneNote allows users to carry their work everywhere via computers, tablets or phones.
