In your presentation, spreadsheet, document or e-mail, click on the Insert tab, and in the Illustrations group, click the SmartArt icon. Under the “Choose a SmartArt Graphic, select Hierarchy, and click the template to create the layout for your organogram.
To enter your text into the organogram, select a box in the SmartArt graphic and type your text. For organizational purposes, enter your text only after you add all of the necessary boxes to the organogram. To paste your text from another program or location, simply copy the text and paste it into the text pane. After clicking Okay, Microsoft Word automatically positions and arranges your text into the organogram.
To add pictures, scroll to the Insert tab, select the Illustrations group, and click the SmartArt icon. Within the Choose a SmartArt graphic menu, click Hierarchy and then double-click the Picture Organization Chart icon. Select the box where you want to include the picture, then select the picture icon. In the subsequent menu, select the folder that contains your picture and select the picture file, then Insert. To add text to your picture, select Text in the Text pane or select a box in the SmartArt graphic and enter your text.
