Full Answer

  1. Open a Web browser

For lost Android phones, open a Web browser, and navigate to the Google Play Store. Sign in using your credentials. Type "Android Lost" in the search field, and download the app. Google Play automatically installs it on your phone even if you do not have access to it. For iPhones, log in to the iCloud website, and sign in using your Apple credentials. Locate the Find My Phone icon in the dashboard.

  2. Register your device

Register your phone with Android Lost; registration begins upon starting the app. Wait a few moments for the app to start tracking your device. For the iPhone, click All Devices from the drop-down menu, and select your device. Tracking starts automatically.

  3. Track your phone

Navigate to the Android Lost website, and sign in using your Google credentials. Continue to refresh the page until a pop-up confirms it has found your device. For your iPhone, wait until iCloud locates your device. Once it does, it provides the location of your phone on a map. You can also activate an audible signal in case you cannot find it within your vicinity.
