The longest running television game show is "The Price Is Right." The show began airing on television in 1956. For much of its run, the host of the show was television personality Bob Barker.

Barker retired in 2007 and was replaced by comedian Drew Carey. The show features contestants who are pulled out of the audience to guess the prices of prizes and compete on stage in solo games for additional prizes. The show celebrated its 800th episode on April 7, 2014. On April 1, 2014 comedian and television personality Craig Ferguson took over hosting duties as part of an April Fool's Day joke.
