The Korean iStar X99 is a satellite receiver and is used for streaming television channels. The product uses the X99 Super software to run and offers a range of television channels. The X99 is currently outdated, and has been succeeded by at least eight newer models as of 2015.
The iStar company is centered in the middle east and revolves around creating digital receivers and related technologies to help bring communication breakthroughs to the middle east. The iStar devices offer 2G and 3G communication through General Packet Radio Service, Internet Protocol Television and WiFi. the iStar X99 has been rendered obsolete by the iStar x5 Ultima, which offers better internet speeds.
