Tagxedo allows users to create word clouds made from blogs, tweets, tags and more. Once designed, these word clouds appear on websites, social media pages and emails. It is even possible to put word clouds on items such as T-shirts, coffee mugs and mouse pads.
Tagxedo allows users to make word clouds with customized fonts, colors, themes, orientations and shapes. These are easy to design in real-time with many options that allow fine-tuning. Printing and sharing are possible on Tagxedo, and the word clouds are viewable as thumbnails directly on the site. This allows for easy tweaking and saving, as well as editing. There are a number of standard fonts on Tagxedo, but downloadable fonts are also available.
Another feature of using Tagxedo is the ability to put the word cloud in a certain shape, such as a star, heart or animal. It is also possible to make the word cloud in a custom shape. Some of the Tagxedo shapes available on the website include the seven continents, the 50 states or even certain countries of the world.
Tagxedo is currently free to use, as of 2015, but the site is in a beta version. Once the site officially launches, premium features are available for a small fee, but developers plan on also offering free features
