Adobe offers two plans for teachers and students looking for Adobe Creative Suite 5: the Complete Plan and the Photography Plan. A choice between these two plans largely depends on the needs of the user. Both of the plans offer significant savings for education customers, which can save education customers up to 70 percent.
The Complete Plan gives students and teachers the latest version of every Adobe creative tool, such as Photoshop CC, Illustrator CC and Lightroom. The Photography plan provides access to image editing tools contained in the Adobe Creative Suite. All these software are available for download at the Adobe Education Store.
To qualify for a student discount, the user must prove that he is 13 years of age. Additionally, a student must provide evidence that he is enrolled in an accredited university or college. The institution can either be private or public. Primary, secondary and homeschooled students are also eligible for the discount. However, homeschooled students must abide by the state homeschooling regulations.
The easiest way to prove eligibility is to use a school-issued email address. Using such an address when purchasing Adobe CS5 from the company's website guarantees instant verification. In the event that a customer does not have access to a school email address, further proof of eligibility is required. Documents such as a school ID, a report card or a tuition bill suffice as proof of eligibility for student discounts. Teachers, on the other hand, must submit their employment details as proof of eligibility for discounts. These documents should not be more than six months old.
