Horizon Iran is a Andisheh TV news program carried daily from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time. A good example of Horizon Iran content is an interview conducted by one of the program's hosts, Faramarz Forouzandeh, with Dr. Erfan Ghaeni Fard, author of a book about SAVAK, an Iranian national security program established in the late 1950s. The segment, SAVAK Demystified, aired in 2011 on the anniversary of SAVAK's inception. Programs carried on Andisheh TV in July 2015 include one on the Iranian renaissance; a regularly scheduled program called Mom Talk, which focuses on mother child interaction; and "Ideas with Friends," another Andisheh staple, featuring interviews with well-known individuals on a variety of current event topics.
Andisheh TV, started in June, 2006, operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week with viewers in the United States, Canada and Europe. According to Andisheh marketing materials, its Farsi-speaking viewing audience in the United States totals 3.5 million with over 500,000 viewers in the Los Angeles area alone.
