According to Apple, iPhone 4 and later models support the most extensive range of Bluetooth activities. Earlier versions of the iPhone include some Bluetooth capabilities as well.
Hands-Free Profile, also called HFP 1.6, has been an integral part of the engineering of all iPhone models. This is the feature that allows Bluetooth and other types of hands-free communication with the wireless device. Additional activities supported through iPhone 4 and Bluetooth integration include streaming of music to a device via a Bluetooth connection, playing of games over a network, establishment of a personal hotspot, integration with Bluetooth keyboards and exchange of messages between devices.
