Logitech webcams either come with a driver installation disk, or the webcams automatically install the correct drivers upon insertion into the computer and function correctly without any steps needed from the user. If the webcam does neither of these things, the Logitech support website has free downloadable drivers available for most Logitech products.
The first step to installing a Logitech webcam is to plug in the device. Most webcams plug into the USB port of a computer. In order to determine if the webcam has installed the necessary drivers on its own, check your computer's device manager. Click on Imaging Devices. A drop-down window should list your Logitech camera. If it doesn't or no drop-down box appears, you need to install your Logitech camera drivers manually.
To manually install your webcam's drivers, place into your computer's disk drive the installation disk that came with the webcam. Follow the step-by-step instructions presented onscreen. If your camera did not come with an installation disk or your computer does not have a disk drive, proceed to the website support.logitech.com. On the main page, click the button for Webcams and Security. Open the webcam drop-down menu, and select your webcam. On this page, you can download the relevant drivers and software for your webcam.
