Install the driver for the Intel HD Graphics GPU by downloading the installer from Intel.com or having Windows install the driver automatically in Device Manager. The application comes preinstalled in Windows.
To download the driver manually, open the Support page on Intel.com, select Graphics Drivers from the drop-down menu, and find your exact GPU model. Because HD Graphics GPUs are integrated into Intel CPUs, you must select the correct CPU generation. Once you pick the GPU from the list, click Install&Setup, and select the driver version that suits your operating system under Drivers and Downloads. Run the installer, and follow the instructions.
To see what CPU your system runs on, right click on an empty area on the taskbar, and click Task Manager. Open the Performance tab to see the exact CPU model. You can then use the search box on Intel.com with the name of the CPU to see your GPU model.
Alternatively, you can use Device Manager to make Windows handle the entire process. To do so, click the Start button, open Control Panel, and navigate to System and Security. Then, click Device Manager under System, and enter your administrator password if Windows asks for it. Find your Intel HD Graphics device under Display Adapters, double-click it, and open the Driver tab. You can then click Update Driver to initiate the process.
