Google's Chrome browser adds support for select Android apps, allowing them to run on any PC that supports Chrome. This support does not extend to the Google Play store, and these Android apps must be installed through the separate Chrome Web Store.
Google Play's web store is available on PCs. Apps purchased through the web store are not downloaded to the PC; instead, they are saved to the signed-in Google account. To use these apps, sync this Google account to a compatible Android device. Not all apps are available on all Android platforms; some are available only on phones, some only on tablets and some only on devices that meet specific hardware requirements.
Google Play hosts over 1.43 million apps as of 2015, with a cumulative total of over 50 billion downloads. Both free and paid apps are available to download, and the app store itself is free to install. Available payment methods for paid apps are gift card, credit or debit card and direct billing to mobile phone carriers. All paid apps on Google Play have a 15-minute evaluation period in which they can be returned for a full refund.Learn more about Software
