As of 2015, you can install Garmin Express on your computer by downloading the installation file from the Garmin Express Support page at Garmin.com. Prior to installing the software, a Garmin device should be plugged into the computer, using a USB cable or an ANT Stick.
Garmin Express comes in two versions that are compatible with either a Windows computer or a Mac. Users installing on a Windows computer are required to have up to 13 gigabytes of free disk space, Windows Vista SP2 or newer, a USB port and at least one gigabyte of RAM. Mac users are required to have OS X 10.8 or newer, up to 13 gigabytes of hard disk space, at least one gigabyte of RAM and a 1024-by-768 pixels display.
Garmin Express is software that you can use to manage the various functions and data on a Garmin device. This software allows you to update maps stored in the device, update golf course maps, upload user activity to Garmin Connect and register the product with the company. Garmin Express is also used to install any software updates that are released for the device. Once the program is installed, you can follow prompts given by it to register and set up any Garmin device.
