  1. Open up the Settings app

Click on the Settings icon on the home screen.

  2. Click on Mail, Contacts and Calendars

Within the Settings app, click on Mail, Contacts and Calendars to proceed.

  3. Select Add Account, then Google

After selecting Mail, Contacts and Calendars, the option to Add Account presents itself. Select this, then choose Google when prompted.

  4. Enter the account details

A number of fields next appear. Type the name associated with your account in the username section, and enter the email address. In the password field, enter the password associated with your Google account. Depending on whether or not you selected a two-step verification method, a separate app-specific password may also be required. The description field simply allows the account to be easily identified on the iPhone; it is especially useful if multiple accounts are added to the same device. Once all information has been entered, click Next and Save at the top of the screen.

  5. Go to the Contacts app

To sync the contacts onto the iPhone, go to the Contacts app, and the process begins automatically.
