The Huffington Post is a news blog and aggregation website that was originally launched in the United States in 2005. As of 2014, the website is owned by AOL and is run by Arianna Huffington, who co-founded the website along with Ken Lerer.

The Huffington Post was initially developed as a news aggregator and a conversational group blog website. By April 2011, the website was ranked as the sixth largest news website in the United States. In January 2012, the site recorded 40 million unique visitors. As of 2014, 10 international versions of the website exist in countries such as Japan, Spain and Germany.
