Lutron offers a wide variety of home automation products as of 2015, including wireless lighting controls, occupancy/vacancy sensors, window shade controls and temperature controls. All of these solutions are available for either a single room or the whole home and can be seamlessly integrated with the home's audio, video and security systems, as well as its heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
Lutron's residential light, shade and temperature control systems can be controlled remotely using the Lutron Pleasance iPad application. The company also offers a vehicle remote control that allows the user to turn both interior and exterior lights on or off as they arrive or leave the home. Lutron's home remote controls allow the user to turn all the lights in the home on or off at the push of a button or to illuminate a path through the home from the bedroom to any other room in the house. The light control system can also include timers or occupancy/vacancy sensors, which can turn the lights off after a certain amount of time or automatically turn the lights on or off when a person enters or exits the room. This system also uses dimmers to reduce lighting and cut down on energy bills.
With Lutron's window shade controls, users can automatically adjust their window treatments, while the temperature controls can automatically adjust the temperature to help lower heating or cooling costs.
