"The Great Dane Lady" is a nickname for canine nutritional consultant Linda Arndt. Arndt is also a published writer, and her work can be found in "DaneWorld Magazine," "Pet Health News" and "The Great Dane Reporter."
Arndt's research focuses on bone diseases caused by incorrect feeding, systemic yeast infections and the effect of high-calorie diets on giant breeds. She also developed the Blackwatch feeding recommendations for Great Danes. From 1989 to 1995, Arndt conducted a bone disease survey that asked about the feeding, vaccination schedule, age and sex of more than 5,200 Great Danes diagnosed with developmental orthopedic diseases. Ardnt is also a dog breeder with over 40 years of experience.
